Pancakes and poetry this morning
My 1st glimpse out the window this morning was golden leaves flying from the aspen.
This mornings poem is by Emilio Degrazia, from his collection of poems, in his book, “What Trees Know.” You can find his book at Nodin Press. I came across this book recently, referred by my artist friend, Virginia Huber who knows how important trees and forests are to me and my work. Its the second stanza that leapt to my attention this morning.
Warm Temps finally returned. I’ll start my day with some indoor studio work and then head outdoors l to a trail or lake, depending on wind speed—so far this morning winds are too strong for a small kayak unless I can stay close to a south shore.
