Rooted and Restless explores four distinct visions of our relationships with the natural world through abstraction and representation in painting and sculpture. Despite an acute awareness of climate change, habitat loss, and disrupted ecology, this exhibition speaks to spiritual connections, the restorative power of nature, and the persistence of life, even in threatened environments. Group exhibition with Basia Krol, Meg Lagodzki, Katherine Steichen Rosing, Sheri Rush.

Atmospheric Intricacies is a solo exhibition featuring new paintings and an installation fueled by Rosing’s fascination with atmospheric rivers and recent paintings celebrating the persistence of life and interconnections within northern ecosystems.

5-10-100 is an exhibition celebrating the groundbreaking Women Artists Forward Fund, the 5th anniversary of the Forward Art Prize, and the 10 artists who have received the award to date.

This exhibition will include work by each of the 2019-2024 Forward Art Prize recipients: Jennifer Angus, Adriana Barrios, Mary Bero, Yeonhee Cheong, Angelica Contreras, Lilada Gee, Dakota Mace, Katherine Steichen Rosing, Alice Traore, and Babette Wainwright.

ARC, founded in 1973 as a women-run cooperative organization, has a long and distinguished history as a cultural institution in Chicago. Water Shields & Damselflies is a body of work that emerged after artist residencies at the St. Croix Research Station in Marine on St. Croix and the Trout Lake Research Station in northern Wisconsin. While meeting with scientists to discuss relationships between forests and watersheds, I became more aware of the delicate relationships between the tiniest unseen organisms and those creatures which may be overlooked or feared yet are integral to complex systems.
